Article: What Sort of Gay Man Are You? (the quick and easy self test)

Now it's been several years since I read anything from the field, and in the world of genome sequencing that can mean several eons worth of outdated data, but the last time I read an article on the subject, scientists were having issues determining the exact genetic causes of homosexuality.

To break down for you why that would be, it has a lot to do with the fact that men and women are so similar genetically it is ridiculous.

But when I read this article, I saw no mention of trying to sort gay men or women first by the type of gay they were, before next looking to find any genetic similarities. And that struck me as very odd, because if you ask the gays about themselves, they will very quickly group themselves by very old and known associations, and these should and would be very useful in determining the underlying cause. (Tops/Bottoms/Doms/Subs/Versatile/etc.)

So who were conducting these studies? Straight humans who know not much on whom they research? Very bizarre if true.

Because the ABSOLUTE TRUTH is that gay men are NOT the same, and the underlying mechanics of each should then be different as well.

Meaning: The reason why YOU are a gay, may in fact be different from the reason your best friend is a gay.

Regardless, it led me to think awhile on the subject and the result I think is the clearest way one can sort themselves most accurately to know what sort of gay man you are in only one question.

And so what one wants to know is this....

Are you..

  1. A gay man who has a brain more like straight men?

or are you...

    2. A gay man who has a brain more like straight women?

And the best way to determine this, is not to ask on masculine or feminine behaviors as one might expect, or even on prefered sexual position....

It is instead to ask this.... are you in any way attracted to older men, or very muscular men. If the answer is yes, then sort yourself to the #2 category with relatively high accuracy. If the answer is "No way! Old big men are ALWAYS gross!" then sort yourself similarly to the #1 category.

Now,  the #2 category has a large range actually as women can find both young and old men very desireable, but what seems to be exclusive to this grouping is the ability to find "old" attractive at all. Most of the time straight men, and are notoriously well known for doing so, find only the near 18 year old age range sexually attractive.

(These ranges in fact seem to have been determined by evolution targeting the natural fertility of each sex. Men are fertile their whole lives, and thus women are attracted to this large range. Women are fertile only when young, and thus men are attracted to this smaller range.)

To see this question once more visually... see below.

Can you, in almost any way, find this man attractive?

Once more, if the answer is yes, then most likely you are a gay man with a brain more like a straight woman.

And if the answer is no, "The twink life is for me, exclusively!", then most likely you are a gay man with a brain more like a straight man.

This might all seem very obvious (and it is!) but sometimes it is nice to see it all laid out very clearly, with no need for any DNA sequencing or brain scans to tell a lot about yourself or others.

Finally, I'd like to discuss the #2 category a bit more, as I believe it has some truths worth mentioning, now that many have been sorted there.

For one, just to be clear, you can have a "woman's brain" as a gay man and in fact act... very masculine. (This is why asking on behaviors is not as accurate as asking on attraction.)

It does NOT make you transgender.

But instead, if you are masculine, sort of like a male tomboy then. There is a LOT of truth in thinking of it that way. And in the end, remains just another way of ending up with the "male gender", as there are several routes to it.

Furthermore, this sort of brain is only called a "woman's brain" because it is most commonly associated with the female sex. But there is no law of the universe that you have to find value in the weight of the numbers here, or in the original source of any feature.

(The truth of this can be illustrated from the fact that it is not common for white humans to consider themselves black, just because they evolved from this originish. ie. A femur of a white human is not routinely considered to be a "black femur", just because it came from this originish.)

The end result is thought on as far more real than the mechanics underneath or its history, that in this case, ends mostly the same.

A "woman's brain" (or maybe yet better called, Brain 2) can create very masculine humans, in the correct conditions. A truth that is just... um... true.

This sort of human... a masculine gay man with a "woman's brain" (or Brain 2) would in fact be me.

 *raises hand*

And I bet it is many of you as well.

You are here on this blog are you not? Most likely from reading sex fiction on the internet. Do you know who heavily likes reading BDSM sex fiction? Women.

Oh well dudes. Our brains are like women's, but many of us can give straight men a run for their money in terms of masculine behaviors.

It's just how it is.

Weird maybe. But true nonetheless.
